This course introduces kids aged to Roblox Studio, teaching them how to build fun games like obstacle courses and platformers from scratch. They'll learn basic Lua scripting, game design, player controls, and more, all in easy-to-follow lessons inspired by Roblox tutorials.

Lesson 1: Getting Started with Roblox

In this lesson, students will learn about the Roblox platform, its history, and why it's great for game development. They will also be introduced to basic game design concepts that will help them create fun and engaging games.

Lesson 2: Building Your First Game - The Obby

Students will start building their first game: an obstacle course (obby). They will learn how to place parts, set properties, and design a playable level.

Lesson 3: Adding Interactivity - Checkpoints and Respawns

To make the obby more player-friendly, students will add checkpoints and respawn mechanics.

Lesson 4: Introduction to Scripting

Students will be introduced to Lua scripting, learning the basics and how to make game objects behave in certain ways.

Lesson 5: Advanced Scripting, Traps, Effects, and Completing Your Obby

Building on their scripting knowledge, students will add more complex behaviors like traps that affect the player, visual effects, and finalize the obby with start/end points and additional features.

Lesson 6: Designing a New Game - Platformer

Now, students will start a new project: a simple platformer game. They will plan the game and begin building the level.

Lesson 10: Polishing and Sharing Your Game

In the final lesson, students will polish their game, fix any bugs, add visual effects and lighting, and learn how to publish and share it on Roblox.
